So Yale requires app, supp, and payment before I can submit the entire thing. I submitted my payment today, but it says that the effective payment date will be Nov 2. Also, there's a downward red triangle next to "payment."

Will I still be able to submit my app?

Just submit the commonapp and the supplement. They will then be downloaded by yale

^Yeah, same here! I had a red triangle too after submitting my payment, but I had no problem submitting my app. After I submitted everything I got three emails from commonapp.org confirming that all three, the supplement, payment, and the application itself, were mailed out, so I guess it was okay.

Yeah, I had a red triangle for payment on my other application but it disappeared the next day. I think they just process it first so it might take until the next day to turn green.

I submitted my payment like a week and a half ago and it took 3 days for the triangle to change even though I got a confirmation, so you're good.

I paid and then submitted around an hour later. I don't remember whether the triangle was green, but, regardless, it all worked. It doesn't matter if Yale's received the money yet. The Common App just needs to know that it WILL receive the money.
