Ok, so we are all asking each other for each other's opinion. But, what about OUR own opinion? What is the strongest parts of your application? If you want, what are the weakest parts of your application?

My guidance counselor read my teacher recs and she said they were some of the best few she's ever said. I worked very hard on my essays, and I'd say they're the strongest part of my application. Also, I speak four languages fluently and know a fifth, which has got to help for something.

Interesting background. Very good essays. I think my teacher recs were really good, too, but one of the teachers is relatively new. I took a gamble, though, because she knew me and really liked me. Also, I doubt this helps very much at all, but one of my sisters went to Yale.

I asked a 10th grade teacher, non-ap, and I took a chance with my yale supp. We'll see what happens. I think my strengths are my recs and awards.

One of my recs is really beautiful. It's really heartfelt... and the other one is really candid. So those should be pretty strong. And my commonapp essay was really personal. I actually liked it! So maybe that's a plus haha?

I think my essays, recs, and volunteer are good. But pretty generic.
My main trait is that I am really friendly, but I just realized my app doesn't show that at all. Oops? haha

How are you guys seeing your recs? I thought you weren't supposed to see them...

Mine has "personality" - essays about being short, and a humorous short answer to let my personality shine through-also a girl applying to engineering so not as common
However my chances seem slim since my basics are not as solid as everyone elses I hoping the winning personality will show :P, but then again if I never get called for an interview I think im pretty much screwed

I'm not seeing my recs, but I get along very well with my teachers, and they are amazing!

My grades and class rank are great but it might be balanced by my low SAT scores.
most of my EC's are very unique so they will stand out.

Hey guys! I guess my "hook" may be that I skipped two years of school, so I graduated high school when I was 16. I also was the youngest Head Boy (similar to Class President) in the history of my school: elected at the age of 15. I am taking a gap year before college, so i guess that could look interesting to an admission officer since not many students in the US do that. Good luck to everyone!
