Lousy SATI, Good SAT II or try for ACT?

Ok, this is my situation, my SATI is horrible, 800M 650CR 670 WR = 2120
The thing is I'm confident that my SAT II for chem and mathII will get 800 due to what I'm doing in school now, besides I aced many practice tests. The thing is I'm not sure if I should try taking the ACT in december, then see whether my act or sat is better.

Assuming my sat I = 2120, sat II = 800 800, what do you think my act results should be for me to send in the act only? And the thing is that since i want to compare my act and sat results, i can only send in my application after i know my act results which might not come out before 1 jan... what do u think i should do then? as in indicate what scores on the common app?

Thanks!!

Your SAT I is not horrible. It's fine. Just get good SAT II results and good essays and you'll be sorted.

I agree they're not "horrible", but as the OP recognizes, they the CR & WR sections are below the 25% range (700 for both) for Y.

It's a very hard call. The problem is that your SAT IIs will reinforce your strength in math and science (which I assume is where your interests lie), but do nothing to alleviate your weakness in reading/writing.

yea exactly... and for the ACT, how good a score would be competitive for yale? Does a 33 composite but 36 math 36 science but 30 english and reading look bad?
