sorry if this is old

I am just religiously/obsessively checking my status page (as I know many others are...) and I've had a nomination and an LOA for a while and all it says is "complete"... I'm beginning to hate that little word and how INcomplete it sounds.

Should I chalk this up to the holidays and the massive amounts of paperwork that needs to be processed or should I maybe worry a little and give them a call to see if something is holding up the process??

I appreciate any advice/reassurance.

Jeez, just wait patiently, they want you and will take care of it. No offense but I HATE it when you people with nominations and LOAs complain about being worried :)

It's all good =) just calm down, savor and appreciate where you've gotten to. You should be in the LEAST worrisome position out of ANYONE on these boards.

I didn't mean to make anyone mad... I am just worried.

I haven't asked dd if she's checked lately--it's driving her nuts too, if that's any consolation. And she has the LOA and nom thing, too. Just think, when you are all standing in line this summer being screamed at, you can ask yourselves, "Why did I want this so badly"???? And then you'll remember...

Just remember when you et here why you decided to come here and realize that it'll be worth it in the end. ;)

By the way, both years I applied I didn't get my appointment until about March.

I know how annoying it to keep checking the status page to see if anything has changed. I check at least once a day (almost out of habit on sundays too) sometimes seveal times. However andyj has a point, you DO have an appointment while a few of us still are "Candidate (you have been blah blah whateverjustwait)". Its even worse, i check the DoDMERB website and every day its the same thing "Pending Waiver Submission/Review".

You really do have nothing to worry about. Remember it is DECEMBER still (barely), if it was may or June i would get worried. Again, sit back and try to let it go. I know how hard that is to do (trust me, im in a position of waiting too) but say to your self "there is nothing more i can do, there is nothing more i can do, i like cheese, there is nothing more i can do." I find that it sometimes helps.

    Best of luck.

Please remember that the people who work in these offices have little time for leave. When we were at AFA, the were few times to take leave. Christmas, spring break maybe a week or 2 in the summer.

While the cadets are there, AOCs, Professors and support staff have to be there.

It is what is....get use to it. The last 2 PCS moves were with 2 weeks notice. We knew would be moving, but where and when? I have a friend whose huband is an O7 they had 11 days to pack it up and move to GE.

Just get use to it....these people work hard and are underman, many are doing the jobs of 2 people.

Just some more reassurance... I was in "complete contempt" mode as well ( LOA, nomination, and complete file) but a few days later it changed to "Offer of Appointment." I even got the call and letter from my MOC but was still worried-- thats what we do, but dont worry yours will come (just keep rereading that LOA 'virtually assured' ahah)
