The following links might be of interest for those of you who want to learn more about Amherst. The first link points to a web summary report prepared by college professor from Sweden. She visited Amherst during the fall semester of 2006 in an effort to learn more about the American liberal arts system of education. The second link will direct you to a results page for a survey she conducted with Amherst students. The comments offer some good feedback on Amherst.

    Teachers have a gentleman's agreement to wipe the black-board after the lectures. This shows respect for the following teacher.

    From what I read, this seems to be the only substantial difference between America and Sweden.

    Thanks for posting. I find it interesting to read the questions and observations of the visitor. One can see how someone views American colleges and LACs from a "foreign" perspective.
