So, there was a thread that claimed Amherst to be number 7 in the douchiest college. Are people at Amherst really that way?

    The article was intended all in good fun.

    Ivy League universities, liberal arts colleges, a historically black college, and state, private, and religiously-affiliated universities are on that list.

    It isn't a criticism of the prevailing attitude of the student bodies at these schools: rather, it draws attention to the traditional stereotypes--both good and bad--that are unique and peculiar to these institutions.
