US history DBQ

Sophomore year i took APUSH and i got a 4.

This year i have to take honors contemporary US history (end of WWI -- nixon)
then 10 weeks of consumer ed.

We're working our way through the first DBQ and we have been analyzing each of the documents (for a week in class...) and writing 4-5 points on each document and explaining its importance. (these aren't AP level documents either)

The question is what caused the great depression.

Oddly enough we can't use the document when we write the essay in class we have to use our notes for each document.

Anybody else have to do DBQ's like this?
