Any one wanna help me on this APHG essay question

The question reads, The consumption of various alcoholic beverages has varied distributions within the United States. Explain why such variety would occur and give examples of specific beverages. Some ideas: the popularity of wine in California; the popularity of beer in Wisconsin; the low level of alcohol consumption in Utah. Anyone wanna help me out here ?

    California... they grow grapes there... eh EH? grapes=wine

    Utah... Mormons... totally against drinking eh?

    And Wisconsin? meh there's probably a large amount of barley there to make beer.

    Aside from Utah being largely Mormon (though it doesn't really grow much either) i'd say those are really a result of the climate and what kinds of crops are grown as a result of it
