Take the AP for dual enrollment student?

DC Mom 99DC Mom 99 Registered User Posts: 4 New Member
I'm the parent of a junior in a dual enrollment program, through which her last two years of "high school" courses will be a full course load as a freshman and sophomore at George Washington University. Is there any reason for her to take AP tests that correspond to the survey courses (like AP US History)? That seems like a waste of time to me, but I don't have any expertise. Any expertise appreciated.
