Computer Science - Be Prepared for the AP Computer Science Exam in Java

    Physics - Princeton Review

For computer science, "Addison-Wesley's Review for the Computer Science AP Exam in Java" has the best practice tests. But it does not cover case study.

Due to the change of the Comp Gov test, I'm not positive if Ethel Woods' study guide would be the best anymore. Although I have no alternatives, I think it is necessary to point out that it HASN'T been updated to reflect the new focus of the exam.

I thought that Princeton Review's Book for World History was really good and entertaining to read too.

Note: Arco AP Calculus is now "Peterson's AP Calculus AB & BC (Peterson's Ap Calculus Ab & Bc)."

    "Physics – Barrons"

From what I know, most of the other picks are good, but Princeton Review is definitely better than this for physics.

I think Business_Freak's list is much better; the books there are the ones I myself would recommend.

The Princeton Review for AP World History is just a given.

his list is exactly like mine with the exception of maybe 2 or 3 books. I dont know much about princeton review World History because it wasnt around when I took the exam but I used what i recommended to get a 5.

And primeminister since you have only taken AP world I dont know what puts you in the place to judge a complete list. The list I have compiled is from my personal experience and going back to previous threads to see what others with experience have said for other subjects.

oops, I'm sorry if I made you upset. Re-reading my previous post, I guess I did sound a bit condescending. You're right, I probably haven't taken as many APs as you have.

I agree with you about Cliffs for English Language, but I prefer REA for European and US History. Also I tend to be a straight down Princeton Review girl for subjects like Calc and Physics.

REA is good for AP Euro I used it to get a 5, but I didnt list it because many have given it bad reviews on this site. REA US is really good for specific facts and if you have time I would recommend it in addition to AMSCO for the SAT II. However, Amsco is concise and has basically everything you need for the AP.

I've always wondered how I should prep with the Cliffs AP Language book. There's not much to read (besides the practice tests). So is the main prep with practice tests?
    Thanks.
