can someone help me choose prep books? PLEASE?

hey guys, i really think i should start studying earlier for the APs i'm taking considering i don't have much confidence in virtually any of them...so i need some help for you fellow CC'ers!!! LOL.
i'm gonna be taking French, Eng language & comp, world history, and chem. all four are very important to me (well duh)
what are the best prep books for these subjects?
i'd really appreciate any advice! thank you guys in advance!!!!!
ps. i'm mostly torn between barron's and PR. so if anyone would help me decide which one is better would be awesome! since CB doesn't do AP preps i suppose
