AP Calc BC + AP Stat

I'm a senior and these are my classes for the upcoming school year: AP Gov, AP Physics B, AP Calc BC, Pathophysiology II, Scientific Research and Writing and Honors English.

I was thinking of adding Stat as an extra.

Is it wise to take BC and Stat together? I know both subjects are fairly different, but in regards to work load, is it too much? I'm sure people have done this before, and if so, was it hard? Can anyone share their experiences?

Thanks! Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

I'm taking both right now. Since I just started this past week, it's hard to tell, but I do get a lot of homework from both; however, the statistics homework is very easy, just time-consuming. I feel like it might be a lot on top of AP Physics B, though--but it's really up to you.

Yes, if you express interest in both subjects and don't consider the prospect of enrolling in two math classes burdensome, then there is nothing fundamentally wrong with taking the two concurrently. I did so last school year (although I self-studied statistics) and it was a fairly pleasant experience.

I took both last year, and it wasn't bad

AP Statistics is very easy. I recommend you take it, because both math classes are different and it's interesting to be able to switch between 2 different types of mathematics.

I'm taking AP Stat and Honors Precalculus this year (although I should be in Calc BC but my school messed up), and I'm taking AP Bio, AP Chem, AP World, and Honors English, and I don't really worry about either of my math classes because they'll be easy. I think you could easily take them both. I know a kid last year who took both and got fives on both. Apparently, as someone said earlier, the Stats homework is really easy but each problem takes a while to write out and stuff.

    Hope this helped.
