What would be good stats (SAT/GPA) to get accepted into engineering at ASU?

My son has a 3.0 GPA, and 530 verbal/760 math and he was accepted to engineering at ASU. We just returned from our campus visit (very impressed with engineering, btw) and one of the advisors told us engineering standards are higher than the usual ASU standards.

    Hope this helps!
