What is the party scene like at ASU? Is it more house parties, or bars or clubin?
Hows the greek scene, do you have to be a part of it to have a social life like all the SEC colleges, or do they suck, or do they enhance your social life?
Also what is it like on the weekends, is it crazy and out of control like at UCSB with people in the streets. Or is it just all boring house parties like in high school.
Because ive heard multiple threads on there weekends are like everyone else's spring break, and its crazy on the weekends.
How true is all of this?

You'll find every type of party. I'd say mostly house parties for people under 21 but there are 18+ clubs and there's always something going on. As for bars, anything around Mill Ave is the place to be.

Greek life here isn't the same as SEC colleges, you can definitely have a social life without it but I wouldn't say it's a joke. It definitely will introduce you to a bunch of other people so I'd recommend rushing if you're interested.

There's usually people around all the time, but weekends are definitely the days most people party so I can't imagine it would ever be dead on a weekend.

Basically, there's usually some truth to what you hear about ASU. It is a party school, but I think most people live by work hard, play hard.

How hard is it to avoid raging parties while maintaining a good social life?

Quite easy if you befriend the non-idiots.
