Performance Video

I know videotape of certain sports like basketball and football are necessary as part of the recruiting process, but is it necessary for sports such as track where times in events are most important?

Not really, unless it's a technique event - pole vault, high jump, discus, etc.
A video of distance running isn't going to mean much. (unless you've got some gutsy Prefontaine-esque finish that will leave the coach in tears.)

Thanks I did take some snippets in case they would want to see form or technique in distance events.
