I have been emailing some coaches recently and several have mentioned official visits. Now, considering many of these are quite far away, I would have to fly to them. My question is, does the college pay for travel expenses or is the recruit expected to? My family is on a tight budget as it is and could not afford a plane ticket. One college in particular sent me this:
"Once you decide to come for a visit we will begin working on your schedule
while you are here. All you need to do is sign up and get to campus by plane,
train or automobile. We can arrange pick-up to and from the
airport/hosts....classes....etc for you."
It doesn't sound like hes offering to pay. Should I call admissions and see what they can do?
