DSS scholarship essay question

On the DSS scholarship application, it states that the essay I need to write may replace Personal Statement #1 on the Bard Application or the Common Application Essay. I'm not clear as to whether or not it replaces the Bard supplement essay itself or if it replaces the single essay you need to write for the common application as a whole. I have to chose an option (A, B, or C) to indicate which essay option I am choosing on the Bard supplement and the DSS scholarship essay isn't an option.

Please Help! Thanks!

From when I applied for the DSS scholarship last year I read that to mean it could replace your main common app essay but not the supplemental essay. I could be wrong. You could just upload your DSS essay into the space where your main essay would be and check off "topic of your choice" and type on the top of that essay that it is also serving as your DSS essay. But your best bet is to call up the admissions office.
