Do you know if ED applicants get the results of their admission on the same day as transfer applicants?

I don't know anything about ED applicants. Transfers are notified starting Dec 1. That's what it says on the Barnard website.

Is it true that they send an email if you get rejected but a letter if you get accepted? Has anyone heard back either way yet?

Ok if anyone is reading this thread besides me: I got accepted by email tonight around 6pm!

And for reference for future transfer applicants: I only had a 3.35 GPA in high school (but it was a very good public high school), and a 3.4 GPA at my current state school from last semester, but from my midterm report, it looked like it would be boosted to a 3.6 after this semester (I've only been here two semesters, took a gap semester before coming to school). I think what got me in was my essays and recommendation letter, but I also am on student government and I did some undergrad research this semester with a professor here. I'm in other clubs as well, but I did make a phone call to my admissions officer and I prepared a lot of questions and was really (genuinely) enthusiastic on the phone.

Good luck to everyone else! Someone else please respond so we can get exciting about this coming January!
