Barnard journalism replacement?

leslieknope217leslieknope217 1 replies4 threads New Member
I know Barnard doesn't have a journalism major/program, so should I bother applying as a transfer student or should I apply for a different major and just immerse myself in the journalism activities (student newspaper, etc)

Love your username! I've talked to journalists in the past that have said many publications prefer students with a broader background (English, History, Poli Sci) rather than a journalism major, with great experience. Barnard can help set you up with some great internships. I'd definitely look into it (though I'm biased--it's my dream school par excellence).
