Okay, so Barnard has there two big supplements, the "why Barnard" and the conversation with a woman question. But not under the writing supplements, they have another question with all the more demographic-y things they have another non-required essay question that says "Who in your life is depending on you? What are they depending on you for?" It's not required but is it encouraged to answer? I've never heard about it anywhere, and I don't want to skip it if not filling it out weakens my application.
