National Merit

Does Bowdoin give any weight to any sort of recognition from the National Merit Scholarship Corporation? I would venture to say that they definitely get a lot of kids who are high scorers on the PSAT. I'm a Commended Student (or whatever they call that), and I designated Bowdoin as my first choice. Thanks for the help!

well they give scholarships (i have one), so they definitely are taking it into consideration... but beyond that, i don't really know. it's hard to tell if it's the national merit, or just the high sat score that usually comes with it (and so on and so forth) that gets you in... it definitely won't hurt you, though!
