2021 RD - any chance at all?

Hi, so I've recently been looking into Brown since it's an excellent school in the urban setting that I really desire. But I am unsure if it's even worth applying to based on my stats -

SAT - 2140 highest sitting
2170 superscored (780 W, 680 CR, 710 M)
1500 new (760 M, 740 CR/W)

ACT - 32 composite (don't remember sub scores)

SAT IIs - 730 Bio M
720 World History

AP Scores - 5s on APUSH and AP World, 4 on AP Stats

GPA - 104.8 weighted, unweighted not entirely sure

Rank - 1st in class

Awards - likely NMSF

ECs -

Volunteering at soup kitchen, tutoring, nursing home, etc 9-12
Bible club 11-12
Mock trial 10
Scholar Institute 10-12
NHS 11-12
Foreign Language NHS 11-12
Environmental Club 10 (President)

Senior year schedule -

AP Calc AB
AP Bio
AP English Lit
AP Italian
Gov/ Econ

Is there a realistic possibility that I will be accepted into Brown or is it essentially futile to apply?

You have a chance, but your ordinary ECs will make you blend into the larger applicant pool. If you write very creative and well written essays, then I think it would be worth applying.

Thank you! Writing has been a strong point of mine so I'm hoping my essays will be well received.

I think your test scores are a little on the low side for Brown, and I don't know how your grades look in terms of A's, B's, etc. but this is definitely a high reach for you. Your extracurriculars don't really stand out from what many other high school students will have. Like @ap012199 said, really work on your essays to make them unique and "you."
