VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance)

edited May 2012 in Business Major
Ok so I'm interested in volunteering for the VITA program (I'm sure you all know what that is) for 2013 (2012 returns). I know its probably a little early to start thinking about this since its only May right now but I figured I should plan ahead. The problem is that I have absolutely no idea how to sign up for this program or anything. I've googled it and can't really find any information on volunteering. Does anyone here know how I would go about doing this?

Thanks in advance

Where do you live? If you live in NY I can help.

Also, I found that VITA wasn't that helpful in terms of my resume. None of the recuiters seemed interested in it. The only time they asked me a question about it was when they asked if it was a mandatory program for accounting majors because everyone else had it on their resume.

VITA takes one line on my resume now...
