What cal state is good for IS/IT major?

YIWAwaYIWAwa Registered User Posts: 4 New Member
I know that IS/ CIS/ MIS are including in business major (Im not sure if IT is including in business too...).
I would like to take information system/ IT to be my major in college. Since my grade in high school can only get me into a cal state and cal poly, therefore, I would like to know what cal state have a good IS/IT program? (please show me by Ranking!!)

Cal state Fullerton has a really good business program, but Im not sure it has a good program for IS/IT too? (Since IS/IT involve computer/technology) and I don't think Fullerton is not good at technology.

I check the ranking online, it only show the ranking for UC, and UCI has a good ranking for IS.
SO, the other option for me is to go to CCC first, and then transfer to UC.

Im so confusing!!! Please help me figure out the answer!!!

Both Cal Poly's have good programs. IT is an easier admit than IS. IS is only offered as a concentration under the Business Administration major which is very competitive especially at SLO. Cal Poly Pomona also has a CIS major if you are leaning more towards computers.

Most rankings you will find are for Graduate programs, not undergrad. The best way to determine if the programs will meet your needs, is to look at the course offerings for each program, at each school. Cal State Fullerton has a very good reputation for their IT/IS and CS/CIS programs. You might want to also check IS at SDSU.

Much will depend upon your stats due to the competitiveness and impaction of all these programs. I would apply broadly so you have several choices in the end.
