Actuarial Sciences vs Mathematical Economics? PLEASE HELP

coolfunkystudentcoolfunkystudent Registered User Posts: 7 New Member
I'm a freshman majoring in Math Econ at Temple University currently, and I'm thinking of switching into Actuarial Sciences, but I'm not sure if it's the best plan for me.
Here's my thought process: Math Econ is in the school of liberal arts, while Actuarial Sciences is in the Fox School of Business which has a better reputation, and I probably want to go into business. BUT I'm worried that if I change my mind about becoming an actuary as an actuarial sciences major, no employer will take me seriously.
Please help! I need to figure out if I want to switch by October 28 at the latest.
