Which school?

I'm looking for any advice possible about how I can choose between attending Wharton (specifically, the Roy Vagelos program of Wharton degree with additional life science concentration) and Ross.

I'm in-state Michigan so Ross will be cheaper, and possibly free.

Can anybody shed some light about anything that can influence me?

Thank you for your help.

Really? I'm surprised you are struggling with this decision. Wharton is the best undergrad b-school in the world, you should absolutely go their.

Also, going to Wharton is like going to undergrad b-school and getting an MBA (from what I've been told at kids their at least). Recruiting their is the best in the country for business programs (yes, not only for ib but for consulting and just about any other business function you can think of).

Well...I'm not so much struggling as wondering. At the end of the day, there is a decent to good chance that Ross will be free.

At the same time, with the new facility that is being built, Ross is looking to improve its overall standing. Considering my year would be the first to be in the new facilities, that is a definite bonus.

Basically...I want to go to Wharton and I'd rather go. However, if Ross is free, would going there instead be a big mistake as opposed to paying $5-8k per year for Wharton?

    Thank you.

did u get direct admission into ross?? and if wharton is only going to cost you $5-8k per yr i must say, thats a steal and u should definately go there as regular tuition to wharton is at least $30-40k if im not mistaken.

Ok...I got preadmit status in Ross, so I would go there soph year. However, it gets interesting because I have/will have about 50 credits or so...which puts me well into soph yr status. So I'm not sure if I could just attend Ross directly from the onset?

Also, it is basically official that Ross will cost me nothing.

So...its Ross for free or Wharton for $5-8k. I'm heavily leaning to Wharton, does anybody disagree?

is wharton worth the extra 1 year + $20k for you?

Well, first of all, I'm not even sure if I could skip freshman year. That is something I would definately be talking to an advisor about. I'm not sure how that works, but I mean, I have credits for all their prereqs to enter the BBA program and I have a lot more credits beyond that.

Then, as far as Wharton, I'm technically in the Life Science and Management program. So I mean, I still get the Wharton degree, but a lot of my electives are sucked up for science classes.

    So...what do u guys think?

I'm guessing you like bio? since you applied for vagelos...

I'd talk to a umich advisor about your credits, as the 1year+20k is the only potential reason for one to choose umich over wharton
