hello, so I'm looking into the Urban & Regional planning major and was wondering what special skills (if any) do I need to be considered for this major? also what is the acceptance rate of this major and Cal Poly Pomona in general?

The accepted 110 out of 130 last year, so it's not highly impacted. You don't really need any special skills other than the desire to become an urban planner. That being said, I think the urban planning degree at CPP is pretty good. The college of environmental design is headed by Michael Woo, who is an influential figure in the planning profession and Los Angeles politics.
