    It is the nature of the beast with any state university to struggle a bit to get classes in exchange for more reasonable tuition rates. The big plus with Cal Poly is the class sizes are relatively small. With a little effort and persistence—waitlisting, crashing, special permissions, taking less ideal time schedules or professors, I still have faith you can get at least 16 units each quarter, but it may not be at regular registration. (on the bright side—effort, persistence, negotiation, compromise—all character building skills in action…lol).

    Guess I was venting a bit of surprise in my previous post. He still got 16 units using the priority. Hopeful that with next two ‘wild cards’, he will get the first day of priority...so it will go smoother.
