Will I be able to transfer out of SSU and go to USC or even out of state to the University of Michigan, University of Texas or would it have to be a state school?

You can transfer anywhere you want as long as you meet each schools transfer criteria. Work with a transfer advisor at Sonoma to figure out what you need to do to accomplish your goal. Just realize that transfers get little or no FA, so if costs are an issue, going OOS may be difficult.
