How much math you need to apply for Caltec?

I will be finishing IB Math SL at the end of junior year. I have no more math scheduled for my senior year. Caltec recommends 4 years of math through calculus.

Will IB Math SL be good enough?
Should I take more math in my senior year either through community college, online learning, or independent study?

I don't know much at all about IB, but anything up to the equivalent of calc AB is ideal, BC if possible. Again, it's about the context of your school so if IB math SL is the highest offered, or close to it, and you're loading up on rigorous course everywhere else, then you're in good shape. It's about the most rigorous schedule your school offers.

Math SL sounds like it should be good preparation for handling the Caltech work, which after all is the whole purpose of their requirement. Still a big challenge, obviously, I mean it's Caltech, but you want to be as prepared as possible in the event you are admitted, matriculate, and begin coursework.
