GE Requirements for Cal State Fullerton

I'm starting as a freshman this fall at CSUF and I'm wondering how the GE requirements will be like? Can anyone give insight on how rigorous the courses will be or some advice on handling the classes, the homework, etc?

I had a guest speaker who is currently attending CSUF come to my econ class to tell us about what we needed to know. (dont ask me why an econ class, idk either)
She said that you pretty much HAVE to have a planner. it helps a lot because when teachers give out syllabuses on the first week, you can write in the dates to ALL the tests for that semester and be able to prep for them.
She also said that the classes in freshmen and sophomore years are not so bad. it isn't until junior and senior year that it gets a bit harder because you have to take courses specifically for your major.
I think that the GE's you get placed into are dependent on your SAT/ACT score (i think??) so there are no placement tests.
But overall, I heard the first year of college goes by in a breeze. of course studying will be necessary, but i heard its not too bad.
also bring shower shoes and a mattress pad if you're gonna dorm!
