Cal State Fullerton Announces Plans For A Virtual Fall.

I saw on the Register, LA Times and NPR that CSUF's fall classes will be entirely online. Any word if an admitted student who has committed to CSUF can change their decision and get a refund due to the huge change in curriculum, particularly if other California schools have not followed suit? It seems like other Cal colleges are still weighing their options.

Cal State Fullerton plans to start the fall semester with virtual classrooms and will gradually ease restrictions when it is safe to do so, officials said Monday, April 20, in a virtual town hall for faculty and staff.

“We are assuming in the fall we will be virtual,” Provost Pamella Oliver said. “And of course, that can change depending on the situation, depending on what happens with COVID-19. But at this point that is what we are thinking.”

My daughter held off committing as long as she could to make decisions on her school options. This decision to go virtual classes in the Fall eliminated CSU-Fullerton from her consideration. She already lost a lot of her high school Senior year experience. No way she is going to do likewise for her Freshman year.

So even though it will cost more to go out-of-state, since California and the CU and CSU schools will be the last to go back to on-campus classes, out-of-state it is.

I'm guessing she is not alone, so those students on a wait list may have a good chance of being cleared.
