Should I drop philosophy?

So I just got accepted for cal state long beach and my question is should I just drop philosophy (Critical thinking) since they don't need it? Or should I keep it? I emailed them and they said they would have to reevaluate my application to see if im still eligible for the acceptance and I called admissions and they told me its cool. So should I drop the class? Or keep it so I don't get a W? Should I keep in case anything wrong happens during admissions and which I could get my acceptance taken away for any weird reason ? just as a safety net? Im an engineering major. Thanks.
