History Department

What is the quality of classes in this department? I'm very interested in Eastern Civilization history: India, China, and Japan among others. I've already taken European History (AP: 4) and U.S. History (AP: 5). And I'm more interested in the the pre middle ages history of the west than the stuff you cover in those classes. What are the strengths of these classes in this department? And how strong is the department in general? Do you feel that you've learned a lot?
