Brilliant & down-to-earth peers (much of my education came from them), intimate faculty attention, the architecture, pastoral quietude, the food.

I have absolutely loved the academics at Colby so far. As my first-year comes to a close, I already feel extremely close with a variety of professors. The closeness of the student body to the professors has probably been my favorite part so far. I have also loved the social life here on campus, as the lack of fraternities allow for a more inclusive community. It is not difficult to find a variety of students and people with different interests here on campus. Plus, it doesn't hurt that Colby's campus is stunningly beautiful during every season.
Hopefully you will come experience this amazing place as well!

-Intelligent, grounded, genuinely good, friendly, open peers.

-Faculty who really care (many require you to visit them regularly outside of class) and who want to help you find your place at Colby and actually shine

-Classes that, cheesy as this sounds, actually expand your mind and teach you to think in new ways. I've been there one year and already I feel like a completely different person (in a good way)

-A freaking awesome theatre department (and all the tickets are free!)

-So many different and diverse student clubs that it blows your mind

-An on-campus nature preserve with tons of walking trails

-Unlimited meal swipes (i.e. eat whatever, whenever: it's the meal plan everyone gets) with three dining halls that have distinctly different flavors (and really good hours-- there is always a dining hall open from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.).

-TONS of places to study, any time, anywhere, at any level of quiet

I could list a million more things I love about this school, but it'd be better if you experienced it for yourself. ;)
