Does Colby have a grade inflation or deflation issue, or do students working hard manage to achieve the grades they deserve?

It really depends on your major (and sometimes the professor). Some majors, such as American Studies, are notorious for giving lower grades, but the theater and sociology majors apparently hand out A's like candy. Overall, I'd say there is no campus wide deflation or inflation issue.
