I think that I want to apply to Colby, but I wanted to see if you guys think I can get in?

HELP! THANK YOU ALL! Here is my resume!
I'm a Jewish male from a small private school in Boston.

GPA: 3.7
ACT score: 31 (I am only submitting ACT because that is all that is required)
-I also took the highest courses my school offered.

Extra-curriculars, etc.:
-Editor-in-chief of literary Magazine
-Co-founder and editor-in-chief of school's first student run newspaper.
-Drama officer (meaning one of 3 student leaders in the drama department)
- Varsity tennis all four years including two awards (Coaches Award, and most improved)
- four years involved in, and Vice President of, the Mock Trial team.
- English Department award Junior year (one of the highest awards my school gives out)

Outside of school:
- I teach kindergarten at my temple.
I am also quite involved in social action (volunteering etc.) at my temple, and attend classes once a week there.

- I am head of the Massachusetts branch for a grassroots campaign organization supporting Barack Obama.

My interview with Colby went amazing. My best yet.

Do I have a chance?

Of course you have a chance. Good grades (but is your GPA weighed or not?) and good ECs. And the interview cannot hurt. Good luck!

No. Because you're a loser on CC.

    HAHA just kidding dude.

everyone with good grades and test scores has a decent shot at getting in, but there's no guarantee of course. However, LACs like Colby Bates and Bowdoin etc have been more and more attracted to interesting and unique Extracurriculars done by prospective students. So I would find something that is really unique about yourself and emphasize it, and let your scores speak for themselves.

    umm good luck though
and yeah i guess we're all losers then =P

by the way if you're really good at tennis colby will love you and the coach will make sure you get lots of help getting tipped in, same as bowdoin and middlebury and bates etc.

"No. Because you're a loser on CC."

I know, you were joking, but what does that even mean?

And, because I founded my school's first newspaper, is that a good EC to focus on? I'm the head of my schools only two publications.

    Thanks guys
