Ice Skating?

Can anyone tell me a little about Colby's ice rink? I know Colby has a hockey team, but are other students free to use the rink as well? Also, does anybody know anything about the Maineliners? I found them listed as a figure skating group on the Colby student activity groups web page, but I haven't been able to find much information about them. I'm an accepted prospective student for the class of 2014 and I've been figure skating for years, so I would like to be able to continue to some extent in college if possible. Thanks :)

Alfond Arena is open for free-skate daily between late October-March (coincides with the Colby and Waterville High School hockey seasons).

In the winter, Johnson Pond is also an option for skating. Colby plows the ice and monitors the ice thickness.
