Do casual hobbies count as extracurriculars?

I've played guitar for about 6 years but I haven't done anything significant with it. Does it still count as an EC?

Yep, it counts as an EC and you can put it down on your application. However, since you mentioned that you haven't done anything significant with it, I'm guessing that it won't be given too much weight in the admissions process.
