Reporting new awards/other stuff to colleges

I just found out I won a Silver Key for the northeast region at large for the Scholastic Writing Competition, and I'm wondering about how I'm supposed to report this to colleges. Do I just email the admissions office for each college I applied to? Is it the award even worth reporting? Thanks in advance and sorry if this was a stupid question =/
