Sending SAT scores for colleges

If I apply for a college and they have my SAT scores from a previous test I took and I want to take another SAT test later in the year will they use my new SAT scores or keep the other one?
I didn't do so good on the first one and sent it to the school but I'm gonna take it again.

Many schools superscore the SAT I.e they look at your highest scores. If you score higher in all 3 sections in your next sitting than those are the scores that will be looked at, even if you have to send the previous sitting.
