Late letters of reccommendation for Early Action applications?

Would a late recommendation for an EA application disqualify me from being considered? The rules say that everything must be either sent online or postmarked by Nov. 1, 11:59:59 EST, but if something was postmarked by then it probably gets to the admissions office after Nov 1. Is it okay for an online recommendation letter to be a day, or two, or three late?

Generally, colleges are somewhat lenient on things like rec letters that have to be sent by others and if they are sent and arrive a little late they will accept them for EA/ED. Nevertheless you should try to avoid the risk by requesting rec letters well in advance.
