PS--My first choice is Union. My parents made me apply to the Ivies. I know it's a lot of schools...I liked LACs. Had to do what I thought fit as well as what parents wanted. Very happy that it was a weird pattern though.

That's what I said. Although, I might have subconsciously done something at the other schools which made them aware that I was looking elsewhere. Parents strong armed me into about half of my apps.

    GPA: 3.875
    Rank: 4 of 250
    SAT: 760/780/800
    ACT: 36
    SAT II BIO (M): 740
    SAT II MATH IC: 720
    SAT II CHEM: 800
    SAT II PHYS: 800

ECs: Many with leadership over 4 years.
    RECs: Very Good to Excellent
    ESSAYs: Very Good to Excellent

I was thrown for a loop by the pattern, and I did use the Common Application for most of the schools, so I'm not sure how some of it happened. The trend was that at schools where there was a handful of applicants from my school, the admissions offers were a bit spread out. Not sure if that is normal for a private school or not. You'd think it would be more uniform.

I also do not know if submitting different essays played a larger factor than I thought it would. Ditto for the recs. Didn't want a few teachers to be overloaded. Don't think that would matter much.
