Qutting a club because of a job
I've been a part of the Speech & Debate Team for 3 years now. Although I quit in the middle of freshman year. So I'm not sure if I would have to put that I only did it sophomore & junior year. Anyway, going into my senior year, I was definitely planning on continuing it but this summer I got a retail job and I want to keep the job so now my plans have changed & I don't have time for debate since tournaments are on weekends and it is very time consuming. Will this hinder my application? I feel like it looks bad to quit a team for a job because it will look like I can't handle the pressure. Apart from this, I've done choir all of my years of highschool and will continue to do it senior year along with my job. Choir is just less demanding than debate, so I thought I'd to stick it. Any thoughts?8 replies
