Should I submit an optional report?

What's in an optional report anyway?
I was hoping my counselor would be able to report two new awards I've received.
However, my grades haven't changed.

Or should I write admissions offices emails expressing my interest or something like that?

Have you already applied? If so, I would do the work myself. Send an email to your ad rep and list your two awards. Do it asaps, as it's getting late in the process.
