It depends upon the major as well as the school. Certain AP scores are accepted for certain majors and in certain ways. For example, AP Bio could fulfill a science req for a non science major but just count as a general credit for a science major. Also schools vary in what scores are accepted by which department for what purpose. It often takes several charts and links to various departments to determine how AP credits can be accepted.

Typically each school describes their policy towards accepting AP credits on the website. Do the research and get the answer for each school you are interested in.

WashU is bad with AP credits. Max of 15 units and you need 5s to get credit for the most part.

College web sites will have AP policies.

A given AP score may have from zero to three of credit units, subject credit, and/or advanced placement.

Google is your friend. This info is easily knowable by reading the websites for the specific info you need. There's no blanket answer, like "Cornell accepts the most APs!" Also "accepting AP credits" is not a yes or no question. They can be accepted only with certain exam scores. Or accepted as an elective, but not for a major. Or accepted for a major but not for distribution requirement. Nobody can answer this question for you in a way that will be useful personally to you.

And you cannot use AP for credit at a college if you don't get admitted. I'd worry more about how a kid matches, in all the necessary respects, than credits. Don't put the cart before the horse.

    MODERATOR'S NOTE:
Closing this thread for the same reason that I closed the OP's CoA thread - Google is your friend. Additionally, the OP should have defined T25 since based upon prior threads s/he is excluding publics.
