Ring up admissions office or email saying you regret to inform them that you must withdraw your acceptance. If there is a formal way to do it for that school, they will most definitely tell you. Don't be afraid to contact them, that is what they are there for! Be kind to waitlisted students and do it asap.

I know I’m actually one of those waitlist kids. I sent the email out today. Should I also try calling them?

Not necessary if you already emailed.

It’s been over a week and still no reply. I still am receiving emails from the school about housing and orientation

Some of those emails may be automatically generated. But pick up the phone and call admissions and tell them that your plans have changed and you won't be coming. Get started on whatever paperwork you need o complete so that you don't get billed for the fall term.

Since you were waitlisted and withdrew your name from the list you could call them if the emails are annoying. They're likely super busy right now and haven't gotten to updating their email lists. I'd just delete the emails.
