Taking second Phy Ed

I’m a junior in high school this upcoming year and I was wondering, since I already took strength and speed my freshman year, would it hurt my application if I took it again this upcoming year? My other classes are tough with 2 AP’s and a college course, I also have a 4.0 GPA.

Your post is not clear. What is your schedule? Five academic classes and one Phy Ed? Four academic classes and two Phy Ed?

If your high school lets you take Strength and Speed as many time as you like to fulfill your Phy Ed graduation requirements, then that is OK for colleges too. Where there might be some question would be if it can only be used once for Phy Ed credit and you needed to take a second Phy Ed class that semester in order to graduate on time. That kind of doubling up on Phy Ed coursework might make sense for future Phy Ed majors, or for people with a medical reason to have extra physical training during school hours.

I would have 5 classes and the phy ed. You can take the gym class once for a credit and if you take it again it’s a general credit.

With this plan, will you have enough Phi Ed classes to graduate, or will you need to pick up another one later on? That would be my only concern in case your schedule gets crowded later on. It's a good thing to have Phy Ed every semester to help keep your brain and body both working.

Then go ahead and take this class. You will be so much happier, and that will help you get through your other classes too.

Sounds good - 5 academic classes is what colleges want to see. You do what you want with your 6th class:)
