How Should I Approach Finding A Roommate?

What apps should I use to find potential roommates? I really want to find a roommate that has somewhat similar interests as me, but also someone who can share different hobbies and interests with me too.

I'm getting both excited and stressed about college next year and I feel like starting to look for a roommate is exactly what I need. Let me now what worked for you, and any other advice you'd like to give about college roommates!

If you will be living in college/university housing, the housing office will have its own way of matching up roommates.
