Summer Classes vs. Spring/Fall Classes

I'm looking to transfer from a CC to a top university. If I were to take a required course, such as English 2, over the summer instead of during a regular semester, would that look bad? I'm afraid some colleges might see it as me wanting to "hurry up and finish," instead of putting in more time and effort. Maybe I'm just overthinking it but if anyone could give clarification it would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

You are overthinking it. However, summer classes can be very difficult with the compressed schedule.
